The A2000 axial flow control valve is a fully pressure-balanced sleeve control valve. It features a streamlined and uniformly symmetrical free-flow path, which reduces the impact of local highstability of the valve.
This valve can be widely used for pressure, speed, turbulence, and jet streams, enhancing the flow regulation in pipelines conveying natural gas, liquefied gas, crude oil, refined oil, and liquefied chemical products. It has excellent pressure resistance and high flow capacity, making it particularly suitable for applications with significant pulsating pressure.
Even at the compressor outlet, it can address capacity issues while improving control stability. Moreover, it effectively reduces noise generation.
The spool is of the completely pressure-balanced type, with the fluid medium passing uniformly through the flow sleeve. The dynamic force of the medium on the spool and the pressure difference between the two sides of the valve on the operating force of the actuator is almost negligible. Therefore, even in high-pressure drop conditions for large-diameter valves, they can be operated with a smaller actuator effectively.

Wuzhong Instrumentation Co., Ltd., the largest regulating valve manufacturer in China, collaborated with PetroChina Huayu Natural Gas Co., Ltd. in 2001 to localize major equipment. In 2002, the A2000 axial flow valve was developed, marking a significant breakthrough. It became the first to be installed at the Beijing NgaMenKou end station of the Shaan-Beijing pipeline in two DN500 ANS1400 units after a three-year development process.
Following the successful development process, the ANS1400 series was established, widely used in twelve sub-transmission stations along the eastern section of the second line of the West-East Natural Gas Pipeline (Zhongwei Guangzhou), as well as in gas pipeline projects such as Hebei Zhuozhou, Shijiazhuang natural gas city first station of the Shaan-Beijing Pipeline, Jiangsu Jintan, Hongkong China, and Chongqing Gas Group. Currently, over 50 sets have been implemented in various pipeline projects.
There are currently more than 50 units in operation across different pipeline projects.
